System Administrator (On Site)

Key Responsibilities

    System Management:

  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software and hardware components.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and availability of servers.
  • Perform regular system backups and data recovery operations.
  • Manage and inventory all assets including but not limited to all system hardware, software, and licenses.
  • Deploy and improve monolithic and microservices architecture.
  • Network Administration:

  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, WiFi/access points.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
  • User Support:

  • Provide technical support to internal users and resolve IT-related issues promptly.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, access controls.
  • Support end-user equipment i.e desktop, laptop/PC, etc.
  • Security Management:

  • Implement and maintain security policies and procedures.
  • Monitor for security breaches and respond to incidents.
  • Keep systems updated with the latest security patches and updates.
  • System Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for system enhancements and improvements.
  • Collaborate with the other team to plan and implement new technologies.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and changes.
Qualifications

    Education:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in system administration.
  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in managing Windows and/or Linux and MacOS operating systems.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and security measures.
  • Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, DigitalOcean) is required.
  • Familiarity with AMQP protocol i.e RabbitMQ.
  • Experience with automation tools like Puppet, Rundeck, Chef, etc.
  • Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
